Product Description
Many of his handmade paints have unique characteristics not found in large corporately owned manufacturers. Furthermore, each tube is hand filled.
Walnut oil is the base for M. Graham's Artists' Oil Color. Lower cost and greater availability has made linseed oil the most common base for artists' paints today. Walnut oil, according to Graham, does not yellow or crack as much as traditionally used linseed oil. The free flowing walnut oil allows delicate passages of finely blended color and achievement of rich jewel like glazes without the addition of solvents.
Walnut oil as a medium is slow drying and free flowing. Used as a brush cleaner, walnut oil is a non-toxic substitute for turpentine and odorless paint thinner.
