"Stormy Grey" is the newest addition to the "1670" Collection, celebrating the adventures of the namesake 17th Century sailor M. Herbin, who brought ink formulas back to Paris from his journeys to India. The hand-dipped wax cap and "1670" wax seal impart a vintage quality to the 50ml square, glass bottle.
Stormy seas are the inspiration for “Stormy Grey." Its color is a deep coal grey (anthracite) with flecks of gold. On his many voyages, J. Herbin encountered dark and wild oceans. The fine golden flecks in the ink are meant to invoke both strikes of lightening across the water, and also its dark and mysterious depths
