This deep shade of cobalt blue is ideal for skies, seas, and flowers. Cobalt blue pigment was originally developed as a synthetic substitute for ultramarine blue which was prohibitively expensive to produce. It has been a favorite amongst artists since its development in 1802.
Sold in 8.7 yard/8 meter skeins, its six strands separate easily. Add depth and fine details to your work by varying the number of strands you use.
Colorfast dyes ensure your work can be washed without fear of the color fading or bleeding.
