"I absolutely love the medium of watercolor for its simplicity, fluidity and luminosity. Having worked in watercolor for over 40 years, I especially love how it seems to have a mind of its own and, if its secrets are unlocked, will partner with the artist to create amazing imagery. Most of all I love sharing that passion with others on my YouTube channel and through teaching local painting classes."
About the artist:
Steve Mitchell has been a professional graphic designer and illustrator serving business clientele in and around the Upstate SC area for over 30 years. However, having originally received a BA in Fine Art, Steve has been leaving the commercial art world behind and transitioning back to his fine art roots in recent years. His first love has always been drawing and painting with a special love of and emphasis on watercolor.
Steve is best known for his watercolor painting videos on the YouTube channel The Mind of Watercolor, now with over 13 million views and 200k+ subscribers.
This is such a fantastic palette. It has become my go-to palette for watercolor painting. I would really love it if you would bring this back!
I really love the paint colors Steve picked out. I also added some choices of my own in the empty spaces in the second row. I have *lots* of watercolor paint, and this is my favorite palette to work with. While I have ordered tubes of paint to refill the colors I am running out of, I really wish that Wet Paint would bring this palette back again!
