Product Description
Lemon Ochre is a natural yellow earth pigment which has been used by humans since pre-history. A beautiful, concentrated pigment, Lemon Ochre produces a bright, warm, earthy yellow with good tinting strength.
Artist Notes: Lemon Ochre is not as warm and golden in hue as Golden Ochre, but is much brighter in tone than Light Yellow Ochre. A workhorse on the palette, it mixes beautifully with other colours.
Paint Maker’s Notes: The word ochre comes from the ancient Greek word for yellow. Evidence of its use as a pigment can be found from over 30,000 years ago, and can be found on all continents except Antarctica.
