Product Description
Steve Mitchell, creator/founder of The Mind of Watercolor YouTube channel, in cooperation with M. Graham & Co and Wet Paint Artists’ Materials & Framing, is introducing his first ever M. Graham watercolor set. The set – made up of ten 15ml tube colors chosen personally by Steve - is available now, and exclusively through Wet Paint.
Steve has been a professional graphic designer and illustrator for over 35 years. He first purchased M. Graham watercolors in a small local art shop to replace some of his cheaper paint. Chosen originally based on availability and value, Steve’s love of the brand grew as he continued using the colors and comparing them to other professional grade colors. M. Graham quickly became his go-to favorite. In 2014 Steve launched his YouTube channel, The Mind of Watercolor. Now with over 280,000 subscribers and 18 million views, he currently creates watercolor videos for his channel full time.
Steve explains, “The vibrancy, transparency, easy re-wetability, and large single pigment selection in the M. Graham watercolor line is just outstanding. The more I used the colors the more I loved them. I’ve also been impressed with M. Graham’s desire to maintain the traditional art of hand-crafted, small batch paint made with historic, natural bases such as honey. I’ve narrowed my favorite color choices down to a familiar, time tested group and I’m very proud of this selection. This palette has provided me with a lot of mixing success and flexibility.”

Features & Benefits
Transparency – 100% of the colors in this set are rated as transparent. An excellent choice for luminosity and clean bright glazes.
Pigment load – M. Graham boasts one of the most intense pigment loads in the watercolor industry. This is perfect not only for intense colors when needed but also for creating subtle, highly transparent tints using the least amount of pigment.
Single Pigments – All colors in this selection are single-pigment colors with the exception of Neutral Tint. This helps keep mixes clean and predictable.
Split Primary Selection – The primaries in this set are divided into warm and cool versions of each primary zone to maximize color mixing flexibility. Indian Yellow/Azo Yellow, Scarlet Pyrrol/Quinacridone Rose, & Ultramarine Blue/Phthalo Green Blue Shade
Indispensable Secondaries – Two often used secondary colors, especially in landscape are green and purple. For this reason Azo Green and Dioxazine Purple have been included.
Transparent Darks and Neutrals – Darks can be mixed or colors neutralized in many ways with this selection, but M. Graham’s Neutral Tint is also a useful and transparent way of quickly achieving rich darks or neutrals, and can be used by itself as an excellent black.
Earth Tone Mixing– While the only earth tone in this set is Transparent Red Iron Oxide, the set has almost unlimited potential for easily mixing a number of beautiful, transparent and luminescent earth tones such as ochres, umbers, siennas, oxides, olives and other rich earthy hues.

M. Graham Mind of Watercolor Set
I bought this set last summer after Steve introduced it. Since I got it, I’ve hardly used anything else. I love these paints, the selections, how they mix. It’s easy to mix any color I want. The 10 colors were well chosen to play together nicely. The only color I add to the set is a white gouache.

Awesome color palette designed by Steve Mitchell
I've been wanting to try M. Graham for years. So when one of my favorite teachers, Steve Mitchell, curated an M. Graham color story, I didn't hesitate to buy. The colors create such a beautiful mixing, glazing and transparent color palette. They're also good stand alone colors. The mix of granulation and staining makes mixes with depth. Truly have to play and see in person to appreciate. Mind of Watercolors YouTube channel, hosted and created by Steve Mitchell, has been amazing for improving my skills. So much so, I feel completely comfortable buying this set for my creative adventures.

Beautiful set!
4.5 stars! The colors are gorgeous and a nice addition to my other watercolor paints. With the honey base, these paints do not dry out completely in the palette which is both good and bad. I leave them uncovered for weeks and they still need to be handled with care. On the flip side, that makes for lush and creamy textures.
