Product Description
Handmade at the Saint Armand mill on their Fourdrinier machine, they use fibers left from clothing industry offcuts, white tee-shirts, blue denim and flax straw from farmers. When creating the paper pulp, they do not bleach or cook the fibers, but just mix the rags natural color- which makes for a more eco-friendly process- but for that reason, colors vary from batch to batch. When looking at some of these papers, a depth of colour is created by the mixed strands of cotton fiber.
The Canal Pads are available in 3 sizes and in multi-color selections which have a varied collection of 3-6 colors. Papers include: white cotton, tan cotton, cream cotton, jute and cotton, black denim, and beige cotton. All feature a unique deckled edge on one side.
These papers would be great in any book arts applications, printing, or drawing and writing.
