Working in collaboration with Smithsonian, Retro 51 commissioned Native American artists to create unique artwork representing their heritage on two new Smithsonian NMAI Collection Tornados. Each Smithsonian twist-top rollerball pen has the Smithsonian logo engraved on the top ring and sun logo on the top disc. A serial number is engraved as well on the top ring and each pen is packaged in a matching commemorative tube
Dr. Shirley Brauker uses personal experiences + her Little River Band of Ottawa culture to draw from. Dr. Brauker's “carved cut-out" approach & mission to preserve Woodland art inspired Retro 51 Tornado’s Woodland Hummingbird & Flowers with etched design.
